    Route Description:The route begins in Castro Laboreiro, known for its ancient traditions and rustic architecture. Prepare to traverse historic paths that include stone walkways used during transhumance and Roman remnants, offering a window into the region’s past.

    • Nature and Landscape:  Travel a route that passes through stunning natural landscapes, Laboreiro river and oak forests.
    • Historical Heritage:  Visit the Roqueiro Castle, one of the oldest in Portugal, and discover sidewalks and roman bridge.

    The terrain is varied and you may encounter rocks and uneven roads, so we advise you to bring suitable mountain boots or sneakers, comfortable clothing and hiking poles. Sunscreen and a hat are important even in the coldest months.
