Montesa – Mountain & Walking Tours is a trademark of NGM Experiências Turísticas Lda., tax number 516967567. We operate as a tourism animation company and travel agency headquartered in Portugal, operating both nationally and internationally. We are registered as tourism animation providers under RNAAT no. 367/2022.
All our staff have specific training and certified qualifications issued by recognised national entities. Our primary concern is your safety; we work to minimise risks before each activity, providing all instructions, safety procedures, emergency guidelines and environmental guidance.
As is generally known, all adventure activities carry inherent risks (falling objects, sudden weather changes, etc.). During the activity, you must use the safety equipment provided and follow the instructions of the monitor(s), instructor(s) or guide(s) responsible for the group.
All equipment is certified by the competent authorities and is appropriate for the activities carried out. We reserve the right to cancel any activity due to weather conditions, location issues or other situations deemed sufficient for cancellation or postponement.
Activities are covered by personal accident insurance, liability insurance for tourism activities, and travel liability insurance, all in accordance with the law. We cannot be held responsible for payments differing from those set out in the applicable policies.
We are not liable for loss or damage to personal equipment brought to the activity.
Image and video recordings (with sound) will be made during the activity and made available free of charge to participants. Unless otherwise indicated, the participant authorises the use of photographs and videos taken during the activities for promotional purposes.

Data Subjects’ Rights
Data subjects completing the registration form have the following rights:
Right to information (Article 10 of the Portuguese Data Protection Law);
Right of access, rectification and deletion (Article 11 of the LPD);

By registering, booking or submitting the registration form and participating in activities promoted by Montesa – Mountain & Walking Tours, the customer ACKNOWLEDGES and confirms having been properly informed of the characteristics of the activity, the inherent difficulties and risks, required equipment, minimum and maximum age limits, available services and respective prices.
The customer declares that they will participate on the scheduled date(s) and will comply with the instructions given by instructors, guides and those responsible for the activity.
For the safety of participants, Montesa – Mountain & Walking Tours and its staff disclaim all liability for damages resulting from failure to follow instructions.
The customer further undertakes to inform the instructor, guide or responsible staff of any relevant situation and exempts the company from liability for circumstances affecting the safety of the activity.
- Object and Scope
These Terms govern the use of the website and participation in activities organised by the company, including hiking, mountain activities, water activities and personalised experiences.
- Bookings and Payments
A booking is confirmed after full or partial payment as indicated.
Prices include VAT and mandatory insurance.
The company may request additional information necessary for safe execution of the activity.
- Participation Conditions and Safety
The participant acknowledges having been informed of the risks inherent to adventure activities and undertakes to:
– use all safety equipment provided;
– follow instructions from guides, monitors and instructors;
– communicate relevant health conditions in advance;
– exercise prudence and adequate behaviour.
- Health Information:
Before any activity, the customer must inform us of any health issues that may compromise the activity or their own safety, and must bring all medication necessary.
They must inform the guide of where their medication is located and how it should be used if needed.
- Weather Conditions:
The company reserves the right to cancel activities due to weather conditions, environmental issues, or other safety-related reasons.
- Insurance
Activities are covered by:
– personal accident insurance;
– liability insurance for tourism activities.
Coverage is in accordance with current legal requirements.
- Liability
The company is not responsible for damages resulting from failure to follow instructions, participant negligence, or unforeseeable external situations.
- Cancellations and Refunds
– Cancellations by the customer with less than 48 hours’ notice may not be refundable;
– Cancellations by the company result in a full refund or rescheduling option;
– Special conditions may apply to specific activities.
- Intellectual Property
All website content is owned by NGM Experiências Turísticas Lda.
Reproduction is prohibited without permission.
- Photographs and Videos
The participant authorises image capture during activities.
If the participant does not wish to appear in images, they must inform the guide at the start of the activity or contact us via email. This does not affect participation.
- Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Portuguese law applies.
The competent court is the Court of Viana do Castelo.
