    PROGRAM

    • 09h00: Meeting point with your guide in Arcos de Valdevez, 60minutes from Porto, private transport to Pitões das Júnias with tour of the National Park, approximately 1h30m journey.
    • 10h00: Start the guiding walking tour.
    • 13h30:Lunch in a local restaurant or Picnic overlooking the mountains.
    • 15h00:Visit to the Pitões das Júnias museum, community oven and traditional smokehouse.
    • 16h0: Return to Arcos de Valdevez  ( 1h30min drive).
    • 17h30: End of the program.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    Route Description: This hike follows ancient paths where visitors can admire ponds and one of the largest natural waterfalls in Peneda-Gerês National Park, while exploring the region’s rich history through visits to ancient monuments, the local museum, and a 13th-century monastery.

    Notes:

    The terrain is varied and you may encounter rocks and uneven roads, so we advise you to bring suitable mountain boots or sneakers, comfortable clothing and hiking poles. Sunscreen and a hat are important even in the coldest months.
