Hiking in Sistelo
- 09h00: Meeting point with your guide in Arcos de Valdevez, private transport to Sistelo(starting point for hiking in Sistelo), approximately 20min journey.
- 09h30: Start the guiding walking tour.
- 13h00:Lunch box included
- 14h00:Visit and wine tasting at a Quinta in the Vinho Verde Region.
- 16h00: Return to Arcos de Valdevez.
- 17h00: End of the program.

Route Description: This walk, starting in one of the mountain pastures of Sistelo, takes you along ancient shepherds’ paths, passing through old villages, native forests, and offering breathtaking views over the terraced fields of Sistelo.

- Architectural Heritage: Admire the traditional “brandas” of Sistelo, where inhabitants moved their cattle during the summer. These typical rural structures were used for transhumance, showcasing the region’s enduring agricultural heritage.
- Natural Richness: Walk trails that offer panoramic views of Sistelo’s famous terraced staircases, an agricultural marvel that shapes the landscape.

Notes – Hiking in Sistelo:
The terrain is varied and you may encounter rocks and uneven roads, so we advise you to bring suitable mountain boots or sneakers, comfortable clothing and hiking poles. Sunscreen and a hat are important even in the coldest months.
