    GENERAL INFORMATION

    Topics Covered:

    • Expedient methods.
    • Introduction to cartography and navigation principles.
    • Scales and compass usage.
    • Interpreting and reading topographic maps (relief, hydrography, vegetation).
    • Identifying terrain features on a map.
    • Different types of maps (national and international).
    • Navigation techniques in the field.
    • Supporting tools (compass, GPS, altimeter).
    • Bearings, azimuths, and coordinates.
    • Practical map reading and navigation on terrain.
    • Safety in navigation.

    Activity Requirements:

    • Limited to 8 participants, with a deadline of March 5, 2025.
    • Requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed and may be postponed if weather conditions are unfavorable.

    • Workshop and practical hiking session.

    What to Bring:

    • Hiking Boots: Comfortable and weather-appropriate footwear
    • Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Layered clothing for changing conditions
    • Water & Snacks: For hiking breaks and the picnic lunch on Day 1
    • Backpack: To carry essential items during the hikes

    • 25 € per person*
    • Optional: Purchase the National Park’s topographic map for an additional €15.
